Revisiting Kelly Miller

I last spoke to Kelly Miller in August 2023 (click here to read) and I loved her book, The Darcy Secret. I
was keen to find out what had happened since our chat:

'Hello Jane, it is wonderful to connect with you again! Since we chatted, The Darcy Secret became a B.R.A.G Medallion honoree by IndieBRAG and the audiobook, narrated by Scott Fleming, was released.

In October, I released my 8th book, “The Trouble With Friends,” a light-hearted variation of “Pride & Prejudice” and an Amazon best seller. The audiobook, narrated by Deborah Balm, is now available.

“The Trouble With Friends” Book Blurb:

A country miss from a modest estate may destroy Fitzwilliam Darcy’s closest friendship!

Darcy and his good friend Simon Lockhart are guests of Charles Bingley at Netherfield Park in Hertfordshire. When the otherwise sensible Lockhart becomes infatuated with Miss Elizabeth Bennet, who has neither wealth nor a renowned family name, Darcy attempts to make his friend see reason. But there is a complication—Darcy’s growing attraction for Miss Elizabeth.

Elizabeth has an instant liking for the amiable Mr. Lockhart, whilst she deems the arrogant Mr. Darcy to be an undesirable entity. In time, though, she is coaxed into judging Mr. Darcy anew. But when an unexpected predicament forces her to make an undesirable choice, it seems all hope of a happy outcome is lost.

In this Pride & Prejudice variation, Darcy faces a dilemma: Will he heed the yearnings of his heart—even at the expense of his principles?

In December, another of my “Pride & Prejudice” variations, “A Dutiful Son,” won two awards: 1st Place, Romance, Royal Dragonfly Book Awards, and “Top Pick,” Reader Ready Book Awards.

“A Dutiful Son” Book Blurb:

What will Fitzwilliam Darcy do when his beloved father stands between him and happiness?

Darcy has always emulated his wise and honourable father, George Darcy. But following a sinister act of betrayal by a former family friend, his father rejects his most benevolent principles.

When Georgiana forms a friendship with Miss Elizabeth Bennet, Darcy convinces his father to allow the association to continue. However, Elizabeth soon presents a thorny problem: she entices Darcy as no other lady has before, and with his father's current outlook, he would not approve of her as a daughter-in-law.

Still, Darcy’s problem may resolve in time: his father, after getting to know Elizabeth, is certain to recognise her many admirable qualities and change his mind. But what if he does not?

In this Pride & Prejudice Regency variation, Fitzwilliam Darcy is caught between the influences of love and duty. Which of these will wield the greatest power?'

Oh wow, what a talented lady - those awards just keep on coming! If you'd like to find out more, please follow Kelly's links below:
